Aldous Huxley’s works are profound and life altering, and he has left a powerful mark on modern culture and thought. Here is a half our interview with him speaking to Mike Wallace.

Aldous Huxley is widely regarded as one of the greatest thinkers and writers of the 20th century. Most well known for his disturbing and shocking dystopian masterpiece “A Brave New World” he also wrote extensively about the psychedelic experience and mysticism.

The Interview:

Huxely Vs Orwell.

Australian Comic artist Stuart McMillen created this incredible side by side overview of Orwell’s and Huxley’s vision of the future (present?) based on Neil Postman’s “Amusing Ourselves to Death: Public Discourse in Show Business.”

Love the cartoon depiction, its breaks it down very well. While dictatorships of brute force will come and go I think that Huxley’s long-term vision is the more likely if a global dictatorship is ever allowed to take the reins of power.

I think that Huxley’s interviews from the 1960’s are extremely pertinent today and more people should be aware of them. Thanks for sharing.
