Happy New Year! All the best for 2009.
Kicking off this year’s round of live shows with two events coming up on the weekend of January 24th/25th 2009.
First is Ignite at Club Module in Shibuya on Saturday the 24th.
I am, once again, thrilled to be playing on the same bill as the legendary DJ Wada, a truly gifted and pioneering Techno spirit who is now resident DJ for Ignite.
Also on the bill as Guest DJ is Tokyo’s own Satoshi Endo rounding off a formidable techno lineup and making this one local event not to be missed.
Module is my favourite club in Tokyo and when I make tracks I imagine them for this space. I love doing shows here, powerful sound system and an intimacy on the dancefloor missing from most of the bigger clubs.
I cannot wait.
The next day, Sunday the 25th I am doing a show early evening at Secobar in Shibuya at a party called Atrip, this event is slightly more experimental in nature and I will be playing a mixture of my techno productions and a few tracks that lean more toward abstraction and broken beats.
There will be food , live paintings and performances to supplement the music.
