Shane Berry is a South African born electronic music artist and live performer currently based in Tokyo Japan.
Producer of the notable record “Fillertet 2” on Trapez Ltd., a huge underground club hit championed by DJs such as Sven Vath and Richie Hawtin and remixed by Dominik Eulberg and Gabriel Ananda, Shane`s clever blend of digital and analog sound has blown away dance floors around the world.
With great reviews and critical acclaim in URB magazine (USA) and Resident Advisor, Shane has garnered a reputation as a talented and thoughtful producer with a distinctive sound palette and arrangement style.
His unusual track “SimonSis1”, loosely based on the eighties toy game Simon Says, was licensed by Ministry of Sound for James Zabiela and Nic Fanciulli`s compilation One+One and the track “For a Moment”, from Shane`s epic follow up EP on Trapez Ltd., “To There”, was included by Richie Hawtin on his DE9 lite mix on the cover compilation cd of MIXMAG 05/06.

He has also collaborated with and re-mixed Kyoto based multimedia artist Baiyon for Dublin’s D1 Recordings as well as a number of renowned remixes for Dirty Works.
Shane also records under the moniker Amazoku where he produces Detroit influenced hard minimal techno for Rennie Foster’s cult tribal label Futago Traxx.
His energetic and legendary live shows for Taico Club and other events at clubs such as Womb, Yellow, Module and Ageha have seen him share the stage with artists such as Nathan Fake, Aril Brikha and Dominik Eulberg.
He also performs regularly on the underground scene in Tokyo with some of Japan’s best talent, especially Japanese legend DJ Wada (Co-Fusion) with whom he has collaborated with on a track for Wada’s album “one” on Sublime Records.
He has been performing live music since he was 13 years old and has been DJing in one form or another for about the same length of time. In Tokyo 2001 he joined Radio:On, Japan’s only alternative music cable radio station and produced one weekly show and one regular monthly event interviewing and showcasing the music of local Tokyo musicians and producers.
He was also resident DJ for the guerrilla film festival Film Marmalade for 6 years.
Apart from playing live shows and producing club music Shane also works on music for multimedia projects, and scores film projects, promo shorts and the occasional TV commercial as well.
